At this time I'd like to discuss the future plans I have for this game as it stands. Currently there are 3 expansions and the core set in development, the next 2 sets as announced, Sub Hunt and Personnel, are in their testing phase, and still need to be put upto my set size of 111 cards. Players are asked to contribute ideas for Instant cards that should be added. If these sets get upto 111 cards after a lot of interest in the digital and printed versions of the game, I will start to develop the 4th expansion I'm giving the code name E4.
I haven't finalized on all my ideas for this set, but one of the big things I'm going to do is introduce 2 new allied factions. This will make it 4 factions players can choose if they decide to play allies. I plan to reprise SEATO as the pacific allies, and then I'm going to create the Oil Nations Treaty Alliance consisting of nations from the middle eastern countries. I also plan to expand member countries for the Eastern Blok.
I'm thinking about doing Corvettes as a playable ship type, this is a big maybe though but it would fit in the theme of resource protection. Corvettes will be labeled as defenders but will be able to carry nearly the full suite of weapons. I want opinions on this before I commit to it.
I want to add 2 more icon abilities to the game. One of them I want to make a type of banding for marines, that allows marines from different ships to attack together. The other icon ability I'm looking at is something that is similar to Battle Cry in Magic: The Gathering. This will be on ship cards and when this ship attacks it will give other ships you control an attack buff.
I also want to expand on the new Immune icon ability and actually give it to some ship cards.
Last thing I have so far for this set, I want to add another keyword ability like Modular to new ships. This will make it so players can choose 1 of certain packages that can be installed in the ship during that controller's upkeep.
I also have 11 new countries I plan to make ships, weapons, resources, and personnel for. This should make for a decent card list.
