Today Ramming Speed has been revealed. This is the first actual use of dealing direct damage to something in this game. Normally when a player wants to deal damage to something, they would fire a weapon that could target that permanent then both players would roll attack/defense challenge. In the case of the card Ramming Speed, this won't be necessary. When rolling attack/defense challenge, there's no guarantee of a hit. This card makes it so you can guarantee a large amount of damage be dealt. The only setback on this card, not just it's high cost of 5 requisition, is the requirement to sacrifice a fleet ship. But with the ability to play at anytime, and deal damage directly to any surface ship, including your opponent's flagship, I'd say makes up for all that. I've been trying to create a fast, consistent pace for this game and this is but one of many cards in the NATO vs. the Blok expansion that will allow for that.
